Sending our love.
Bachelor Nation first met Sarah Herron on Season 17 of “The Bachelor,” and she returned to our screens for Seasons 1 and 3 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Since her time on the Bachelor Nation shows, Sarah has been extremely open with fans about important topics like fertility, egg freezing, limb differences, and mental health.
And throughout the past couple years, Sarah has been particularly open about her and fiancé Dylan’s egg freezing, fertilization, and embryo transfer process.
Over the past few months, Sarah has kept fans updated on her latest embryo transfer. Last week she shared a video of the process writing, “Here’s exactly what you can expect to see during a frozen embryo transfer. It takes less than 5 minutes and it is completely painless. Just remember to come with a full bladder!”
And over the weekend, she revealed that she and Dylan are at a crucial point in this latest chapter of their IVF journey.
Alongside photos with her fiancé Sarah wrote, “As you may know, tomorrow is our big pregnancy test day. This embryo transfer has been particularly bittersweet because while it’s painful to be in this position, at the same time I feel more connected to the thousands of you on your IVF journey than I knew was possible. Reading your messages and connecting in the DM’s honestly makes me excited every day — thank you for that.”
The Bachelor Nation star continued on saying, “With that being said, Dylan and I have decided to preserve the outcome of this embryo transfer and keep the results private until we’re ready to share. I know you will be eager to hear the news after this dramatic build up — trust that you’ll get the full report when it’s time. Thank you for all the well wishes, the prayers, good vibes and positive thoughts… keep them coming please.”
And amid the excitement of taking her pregnancy test and what’s next on their fertility journey, Sarah revealed she got injured while walking their dog.
While walking their dog Rio, she fell and hit her knee. Later, Sarah took to Instagram to share a photo of herself icing her knee at urgent care and wrote, “Well this is not fun, nor what we need right now.”
Shortly after, Sarah shared a video of Dylan pushing her in a wheelchair and she wrote, “This literally f*ing sucks. Broken patella.”
Sarah got candid and said that she, “Just sobbed hysterically in front of a doctor and two RNs as we all tried to figure out how the girl with one hand is going to do crutches to get up four flights of stairs to her apartment with a broken knee. How is this actually happening?!”
She also shared the X-ray of her broken knee cap and shared that she hopefully won’t need surgery.
As of now, Sarah says it will likely be an eight-week recovery, but because she’s amid her IVF journey, “For now, I’m not taking any pain meds, so that’s making it extra excruciating.”
We’re sending Sarah our love as she heals and we’re keeping her and Dylan in our thoughts as they continue on their fertility journey.
